201013 Following Kismet, 462 Things to Draw #24

Each day, outside the door of the apartment on the second floor, there is a different pair of shoes … I wonder, “How many different pairs of shoes do they have? … and what do they do while wearing each pair?” … and, golly, I, too, have so many different pairs of shoes, a pair for every occasion … shoes for hiking, running, farming, strolling … casual shoes, dress shoes, shoes for taking out the garbage … and my beloved slippers … and my beloved slippers I wear on trains or planes … By our shoes, are we so defined, so confined? … so liberated? At least, different shoes for different occasions gives me the sense of being able to go out and do things.
