Avocado Plant Grown from Seed. Observations: Leaf tips form a (rough) circle. Patterns that repeat (fractals). As the plant grew, leaves dropped off. Now that the plant has reached window height, the plant is bushier. Stalk is spindly. When misting the plant, the leaves sometimes bend upwards and sometimes bend downwards. I read that it takes three years before the plant will bear fruit. My plant is now two years old. Note: In summer, I move the plant to the stairway so it can get more light.
